As Hank Williams said, It's a Family Tradition. The York's Garage legacy is in fact a family tradition, beginning in 1970 when Patriarch Gayle York opened the doors to his full-service shop.
The shop was run by Gayle and Sharon for many years until Gayle went to the Post Office full time, it was then that sons Scott and Travis took the reigns. Still offering the same great service, York's Garage has a wide range of opportunities to make sure your vehicle is in tip-top shape.
In 2020, after celebrating 50 years of business Gayle and Sharon sold the business to their son and daughter-in-law Travis and Jamie. Today much like 50 years ago, York's Garage is still a family effort. Travis and Scott are still turning wrench and Travis and Jamie's son Vance is following in his dad's footsteps.
You'll also be able to see Travis and Scott's handiwork should you attend car shows, drag races, or demo derby's where they take their talents up a notch and build out performance cars. Besides cars, the Yorks have played a huge role in the local Volunteer Fire Department where both Scott and Travis still serve.
To get your vehicle in for some TLC you can contact the shop at 620-845-6557 or visit them at 502 N Chisholm.
