Business Spotlight: The Nostalgia Nook

Take a step back into time, where nostalgic items are many, the oddities are plenty and they’re always glad you came in to see them. The Nostalgia Nook is owned and operated by David and Teresa Mardis. The Mardis’ purchased the Nostalgia Nook in 2002 and it has been the main street staple since. After extensive remodeling, the Nostalgia Nook reopened with lots of antiques and miscellaneous products to help fill the "small town shopping" void. The Mardis family are proud supporters of Caldwell and the many events and groups in town.

Today the Nostalgia Nook stocks even more lines ranging from health and beauty to toys and canning supplies and everything in between. Vlasta, everyone's favorite face when stepping into the Nook carries a full line of Watkins and Avon products. Speaking of Vlasta, she knows how to make everyone feel loved and important whether it be a get well soon, congratulations, or sympathy card she always has her patrons and friends in mind. That's not the type of treatment you get just anywhere.

The Nostalgia Nook is also the home of the famous Kolache Kitchen serving straight from the oven Kolaches during the Chisholm Trail Festival, Sumner County Fair, and Octoberfest. New this year, with just a little convincing the Kolache Kitchen will be serving their delicious treats on the Thursday of Stroll the Streets for friends new and old to enjoy.

Make sure to take a look at the Nook first when buying anything big or small!
