David & Teresa Mardis purchased the Nostalgia Nook from Jim Buresh in March 2002, after the death of Helen Buresh. After extensive remodeling and updating, Nostalgia Nook reopened with lots of antiques and miscellaneous items. Today, we have greatly expanded to carry various name brands such as WATKINS, RADA CUTLERY, White Mountain Puzzles, Melissa & Doug Toys, Louisburg Cider Mill Ciders & Lost Trail Sodas, Leanin’ Tree cards and much more. We have full lines of children’s toys, kitchen wares, office supplies, sewing notions, games, hunting & fishing and other various items. In addition to everyday merchandise, we carry all things seasonal, including holidays as well.
Also located at the Nostalgia Nook in the back part, is the famous Kolache Kitchen, cranking out hot kolaches by the dozens. They cook three times a year:
Chisholm Trail Festival in May, Sumner County Fair in August and Homecoming’s Stroll the Streets in October.
