The Summer Reading Program, "Make a Splash at your Library," is well underway! We hold Story Times for all ages from 10 am - 11 am on Fridays in June. Children's movies shown at 1 pm on the Mondays in June. "Surf's Up" will be our next feature presentation on June 14th. We ask that parents supervise children less than five years of age during thses activities.
The Caldwell Public Library will have two special events at the end of June. On Friday, June 25th at 10:00am, we will have three local authors here for book signings and readings.
Rev. Jame Byers (originally from South Haven) will be here with his book, The Skunk's Gift: Tales, Tails and Parables. Shari England from Medford will have copiesof her book, Lessons from the Sticker Patch: Recognizing God's Immeasurable Love in Everyday Life. Sherry Willis from Wellington will be here with her children's book entitled Cowboy Tad. Please come and support these local authors! Refreshments will be provided.
On Wednesday, June 30th, at 1:00 p.m., Sam McMichael, a long-time resident of the Apache community will be here to present original stories. He grew up in the rich storytelling tradition of Southwest Oklahoma and has worked his wealth of material into the fabric of his pathos, humor, and surprise. ALL ages, young and old, are invited.
The Caldwell Public Library is open Mondays from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Wednesday through Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. We have four computers for public use, available for 30 minutes at a time. All of our computers have been extremely busy this summer, so if you have a laptop of your own, feel free to bring it to the library and take advantage of our wireless internet.
