Braden Lebeda 300m IH State Champion!
Caldwell High School was represented by 12 runners at the 100th running of State Track meet at WSU. Braden Lebeda was State Champion in the 300m IH and placed 5th in the 110m HH. Brae Halling ran a PR in the 100m HH and came away with a 7th place metal. She has medaled three years in a row in the 100m hurdles. Taberie Halling ran a PR in the 300m LH but just missed making the finals. She also ran a PR of 2:30 in her opening leg of the 4X8 relay.
Other memebers of the team competing at state were Mason Teeter, Weigand Guerra, Henry Farinango, Dalton Whaley, Quinci Ward, Kelsi Ward, Cecily Jamison, Ali Lee, and Sydnee York. Caldwelll was also presented in the girls 4x1, 4x4, and 4x8 relays and the boys 4x4 and 4x8 relays.
All in all it has been a good year for the track and field team, and hopefully we will be even stronger next year. The 100th anniversay made it a special weekend at the meet and the athletes got to see some of the past champions that went on to run in the Olympics.
